The different styles to support my argument were deductive
reasoning alongside with analogical reasoning and maybe a hint of causal
reasoning but not sure on that last one. The reasons I used these to make my
main point was because I am coming up with these examples by experience with
being a pet owner. I did not research all of these topics therefore I found
that deductive reasoning was best used for this argument. The analogical
reasoning I put in there was to compare dogs to humans which might be able to
touch some people’s emotions and get them to side with me on making a dog park.
As for the causal reasoning I believe it
was the cause and effect of living in the apartment but that could have been
deductive also. I didn’t use inductive and sign because it seems to use those I
would have to do major research on my topic and start making a work citied
page.
With there not being a dog park some people will find a way to give their dogs a place to run around. Just like you said with the park you took your dog to run around in even though you're not supposed to. Rather than breaking rules it would be much easier to just have a place for the dogs to play and run around in. When people let their dogs roam around with no leash when they should have one on, they are liable for putting other people in danger. Some people live in apartments with dogs as well and the most of the outdoors the dogs receive would be a short walk around the apartment complex. It's not fair to the dogs and I'm sure that the owners aren't okay with the situation either. The things you mention can relate to some people and it may help them realize that having a dog park really is important! And also that it would benefit the owners, and the town of Benson, not just the dogs.
ReplyDeleteA dog park is starting to seem like more and more of an essential to me. I think that you are doing a great job of influencing the reader to want a dog park. How you make the reader feel sympathy for the dogs is what really made me to think how beneficial it would be. But are in your next paragraph are you going to tell the readers what they need to go out and do besides sign a potition to make this dog park happen.
